Since the suns been out so much lately and summer is not too far round the corner everyones wardrobe is beginning to change. Outfits are becoming more colourful, open toe shoes are being dug out from the wardrobes and tights and leggings are being ditched for ankle grazers, dresses and yes, shorts! So for me, this is the time for a slight Pre-Summer Panic as my tan is non-existent, like every year but due to many years of experience knowing my skills at being practically aluminous in the height of summer I've become abit of an expert on Fake Tanning and the best products to use.
I know quite a few people seem to have a real dislike of a tan in bottle but I simply CAN'T TAN in the sun, I just burn :( so fake tan is the only way of being beautifully bronzed all summer and to be fair why shouldn't I be? Theres nothing wrong with using fake tan, it makes me feel happy, feel more confident and in the long run I won't get wrinkles!
I've used quite a few products; gradual self tans, instant lotions, creams, liquids, mousse, gels and many of them haven't worked in the way you want a tan to work. They've either taken so long to achieve a gradual tan that you give up, others which give you a wonderful intense colour but wash off even at the sight of water or just simply haven't worked at all but thankfully I've found (in my opinion) the perfect tanning product.
I'm going to do another post on all of my top favourite products but this post is just on the newest one that I've tried. I normally use Tantruth but after being told about this one I decided to give it a go and I love it! WhiteToBrown is a coloured self tan, its subtly scented and develops over 6 hours. When buying it was told that its particularly good for pale complexions and blondes which is perfect as I have both of those things haha! But it totally works and because it gives you an instant colour straight away it means that you're tanned instantly if you're needing a quick summer glow and it also prevents you from missing areas when applying.
Coconut Oil is a great moisturiser for all of those dry areas, and I've also found that after tanning my hands I always put on more coconut oil afterwards as it really helps to blend in the colour and stops the tan from becoming very dark around the knuckles of the hands and fingers.
I always tan my legs first and work my way up and before doing my arms I apply the product to my back as I've found that this way prevents the colour on your arms from becoming uneven. I then cover my neck and carefully apply abit to my face and blend it in well and lastly, I do my hands.
I wear thin latex gloves for the whole process as the mitts tend to leak the product to the palms of the hands after a short while of applying and once this product has soaked into the skin its very hard to remove it. So wearing gloves is alot easier and it also means that when applying product to your face its easier to use them rather than the mitt as your hands offer alot more precision and help to avoid areas like your hairline and eyebrows.
I really hope that this post has been helpful to you, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Its a self tan and is quite a thick gel. It does look very dark in the bottle but once its on the skin and you've blended it in slightly its the most perfect colour. I brought the WhiteToBrown Self Tan Dark which is new and it cost around £10 for a 250ml bottle from Sally's.
My Tips:
I always put the tan lotion on before I go to bed as it gives the product time to develop and theres less danger of getting an uneven coverage - I always find that if I put some on during the day I normally end up with areas being rubbed off so sleeping with it on is alot safer for me.Coconut Oil is a great moisturiser for all of those dry areas, and I've also found that after tanning my hands I always put on more coconut oil afterwards as it really helps to blend in the colour and stops the tan from becoming very dark around the knuckles of the hands and fingers.
