As you're all probably aware, my hair isn't naturally blonde it's dyed! I get my hair regularly highlighted, thanks to my wonderful mum, and highlights are a great way to change your hair colour yet still mantain a natural look - you also don't have to worry about regrowth as much which is a real bonus! I've been having my hair highlighted for years,
hence its colour, with highlift tint which is less damaging than bleach but still lifts the hair to a lovely light shade. I absolutely love highlift tint as it gives me the colour I want yet enables me to keep my hair super long! I use a product called RUSK deepshine advanced marine therapy in SL01A Ash Blonde and I have a full head of highlights every 8 weeks. I use regular conditioning packs to keep my hair hydrated as well as coconut oil for my ends and as a shampoo/conditioner I use Touch of Silver to keep away any brassy tones.

Although my hair is a very light blonde it still looks natural as my natural colour can be seen at the roots which then gradually blends out into the highlights. Having roots doesn't only mean less upkeep it also gives your hair great depth, and due to the darkness of my eyebrows (which is natural) it doesn't make them stand out too much. I know big dark brows are all the rage but I don't think I'd be able to pull of having bright blonde hair (without roots or lowlights) with big, dark brown eyebrows so the natural spin on this style is the look for me.
If anyone's thinking about changing their hair colour I would 100% recommend getting highlights, it's also a lot less work to go back to your natural colour if you don't like them than it is if you've gone straight in and dyed your whole head, it's also less damaging.
Care for your hair!
Night lovelies xox
