Bulgaria #Throwback

Another throwback but considering its almost summer this one is a definate winner to get you into the summer vibe. I'm already craving the sun and hanging out on the beach and looking at these photos has made me want it even more, hurry up June and July I miss you!

Last year me and my family went on a weeks trip to Bulgaria. I hadn't been away in quite a long time so it was nice to escape to the sunshine, although having not been on a plane in so long I'd devopled a slight fear of flying - I've never particulary liked it but this time round the thought of getting on the aeroplane seemed terrifying! Luckily it wasn't a long flight but it seemed alot longer to me but after 4 1/2 hours we had landed and were off on our adventures. We stayed just outside of Sunny Beach in Burgas in a little hotel, it was very peaceful and was only a 10-15 minute walk from the beach with lots of little resturants and shops along the way. We also rented a car as my parents love to travel to different cities and towns which is great as you really get to experience alot more and find loads of hidden gems, whether it be resturants, the most adorable little shops or the most amazing beaches which only local people know about.
On our "Lazy Days" (of which we had many of course but who doesnt on holiday?) we spent most of the time on various different beaches and each one was even more beautiful than the last. The sun, the crystal clear sea, the white gold sand, it was complete bliss. I wore a different bikini almost ever day!

Another thing I absolutely loved about Bulgaria was how colourful everything was. The flowers were all bright pinks and reds and the fruit was spectacular. Everyday after breakfast, on our way down to the beach, we would stop at this little fruit stand and literally buy a whole bag filled with the most amazig fruit I think I've ever had. The whole trip I think I basically lived off peaches, nectarines, watermelon and corn on the cob - which is sold on the beach and its sooo delicious.

This was in the ancient town of Sozopol which was really stunning, sadly I couldn't find the pictures I took of the town but every you turned there were flowers, tiny little shops and boutiques and all the streets were paved with cobblestone - the architecture was really beautiful and this tiny little town dates back to around the first centuary AD?!

This was my favourite beach destination we visited, the road streched all along the seafront and all the buildings were painted lots of different, bright colours (as you can see). We parked up the car and began to walk down a small flight of wooden steps onto the white sand. There were beach bars dotted along the beach and music was playing. We then rented one of the beautiful canopy's for the day and spent the remainder of our time lounging in the sun and swimming in the sea.

(these canopy's were amazing!)

(and heres one of my many bikinis which made it on the trip haha!)
