Our day trip to York was picturesque and the sun was shinning, hurry! We couldn't have had a better day for sight seeing. We walked through a beautiful park, down by the side of the river and explored the town. Later we had a nice lunch in a little restaurant and then went to look for the Cathedral, which strangely wasn't that easy to find and by the time we did it was already dark - this winter weather is crazy?! But it was still great to see it non the less (once we found it of course).
And just around the corner there was a film being shot which was funny to see as there were lots of people walking around dressed in old fashioned clothes; cloaks, top hats, you name it! It was like we'd gone back in time haha!
York was truly a beautiful place and is rich in history, lots of the roads were cobbled streets, many houses had tiny doors and windows and many buildings date back to the 15th Century, others even earlier! All in all it was a really fun day and I would love to visit this town again.
