Hanging with the Bestie

Over the past few days I've been staying with one of my best friends. We've been shopping in Leeds, sight seeing in York, relaxing at some Turkish Baths, drinking cocktails at a cool, local night club (and attempting to dance), watching fireworks and of course, just plain catching up which obviously involved lots of movies and take aways. It was a really lovely few days and I can't wait to share with you some of the photos of our adventures!

The Night before Bonfire Night

The day I arrived was the night before bonfire night. I absolutely love fireworks so going to a little pre-bonfire night bonfire with Tanni and her friends was definitely something I wanted to do. The firework display lasted about 20 minutes, there was music, crazy funfair rides and of course a massive bonfire. It was a great night and so, so pretty! Fireworks are just so magical, I could watch them for hours.

And no bonfire night could be complete without sparklers!

Cocktail Evening
This was our first night out in ages, it was absolutely hilarious and fun as always! Unfortunately it wasn't very busy but that didn't stop us from having a brilliant girlie night out. We did our hair and makeup, chose our outfits and hit the town! We ended up in this really nice bar right in the centre of town and had cocktails before heading home for late night gossiping and a feast of takeaway food and sweets.

Shopping in Leeds
The shopping centre in Leeds is absolutely huge, it's literally the biggest mall I've ever been to! How people don't get completely lost in here is a mystery, although saying that me and Tanni did manage to get abit confused as to where exactly we were haha! But it was still fun! I also found a few little items which I ended up buying -  2 tops, a cropped jumper and a present for my mum.
I have to admit though, even though we're only just in November the Christmas lights and decorations were really pretty and were hidden all over the shopping complex.

The Turkish Baths
This was something that both me and Tanni were really excited about, unfortunately getting there was a slight disaster as one of our trains was replaced by a coach and by the time we would have arrived the Spa would have closed 10 minutes after we arrived... so to get there on time we decided to get a taxi. We waved down a taxi and began our, some what epic journey but we finally got there and relaxed in the hot rooms. We even had a dip in the plunge pool, which was freezing but very refreshing!

It was such a great experience and what was even better was that everything was really old fashioned and authentic. As you walked into the baths there was a long corridor which led to the pool and heated seating area, all along the walls which lead to the heated area were changing booths, with red, velvety drapes and the whole ceiling was beautifully decorated with tiles. There were two large shower areas/wet rooms, with old styled brass shower heads, a steam room and two other heated rooms with seats.

(please excuse the slight lack of photos but it's abit difficult to carry a phone around with you in a spa)

Hope you liked my mainly-pictures post, there will be lots more posts to come so be sure to stay tuned to my blog xox
