Hey lovelies, I hope you're all having a fantastic week. I have recently found a really lovely online skincare company called Glossier - they not only have a wide range of natural and non-animal tested products but they believe that beauty should be 5 simple things; fun, easy, imperfect, personal and to enhance natural beauty (not cover it up). That being said, this post is going to be about my go-to beauty products I love to use on a daily basis to achieve healthy and glowing skin. So today I'm going to share with you whats in my bag and the products I keep with me when out and about. Enjoy!
So this is the contents of my everyday makeup bag. I only discovered whilst taking pictures for this post today how little I actually use on my face now - I suffered from quite bad acne and was forever wearing thick foundation and various cover ups to try and cover up my horrible spots but now it's cleared up I don't feel the need to wear that much, if any at all! My skin can finally breath and leaving my foundation at home isn't a terrible disaster like it used to be.
For lips I like to have a natural colour lipstick as well as a lip liner, mine are from Revolution and Mac. However I do always carry a Blistex lip moisturiser in my coat pocket as I simply can't live without them.
As for eyes, I currently have Eyelash Extensions so do not wear mascara but simply have a clean mascara wand to give them a little brush with. And if I want to add a little bit of shimmer to my eyes I like to use the small Barry M Dazzle Dust's - these are great products, are highly pigmented, come in loads of different colours and are easy to store in even your tiniest bags or purses so are perfect if you're invited out suddenly by some friends and want to add a quick touch of sparkle to your look.
And just incase of any small breakout, blemish or dark under eye areas I like to carry this small concealer. This is the Lasting Finish Concealer by Rimmel (this would also be a great highlighting product).
And thats what is in my bag!

Other products I like to use at home:
Revolution "What You Waiting For?" Eye Shadow Palette: This includes a variety of natural colours both sparkly and matte.
Barry M Flawless Matte Foundation: This just gives my skin abit of extra coverage, if I feel I need it and also reduces any red areas on my face. If you are looking for a more full coverage foundation then I would not recommend this as it does give more of a thin coverage but due to this feels nice and light on the skin.

So what is in my bag you ask?
For my face I use the Olay complete BB cream - I absolutely love BB creams, they are quick and easy to apply and simply just add a little bit of colour to the face and act as a moisturiser leaving your skin feeling hydrated with a light feel but an even complexion.
If I feel like defining my face or adding abit more colour I use the very handy Revolution kit for highlighting, blush and bronzer. I apply these products very lightly to my cheekbones and cheeks to achieve a very natural look. The highlighter is particularly good and the bronzer (matte) and blush are not too dark or bright in colour.

"Skin first, makeup second, smile always"
* As for other products I like to use at home and what I use for more fancy occasions I have made a little list below but the above products are what I always carry around with me and are what I mainly use day to day. *

Other products I like to use at home:
Day to Day
Here are a few other products I also like to use for a natural, healthy look and for a more of a glamorous, night time look.
Revolution Cream Cheek Palette: I absolutely love this palette, the colours come in a variety of wonderful colours, the products are highly pigmented and due to them being cream blush's they are easy to apply lightly for a very soft look and spread evenly.
The Body Shop Lightening Touch: This product makes highlighting very quick and precise and is a beautiful, pale pink colour. Highlight just above the cheekbones, cupids bow and brow arch with a little shimmer giving your skin a dewey finish without needing much product.
For lips I have an EOS lip balm in Honey-Suckel and Blistex - these are by far my favourite lipbalm products and keep my lips full and hydrated even on the coldest of days.
Night Time / Going Out
And for my Nightime/going out look I simply add a little more sparkle and colour to my day time look. For this I use:
Revolution "What You Waiting For?" Eye Shadow Palette: This includes a variety of natural colours both sparkly and matte.
Barry M Flawless Matte Foundation: This just gives my skin abit of extra coverage, if I feel I need it and also reduces any red areas on my face. If you are looking for a more full coverage foundation then I would not recommend this as it does give more of a thin coverage but due to this feels nice and light on the skin.
For lips I might use a natural matte lipstick or for a pop of colour, a red gloss. This one pictured here is the Rimmel Stay Glossy lip gloss in Treasure Hunt (it's so beautiful and has very fine glitter in).
"Make good choices. Products are designed to live with you, not on you, to enhance what you already have going on"
If you haven't already headed over to the Glossier website then do go and check it out. They have some wonderful products, all of which are; dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, paraben and alcohol free and best of all, are not tested on animals! So you can not only look good on the outside but you can feel good on the inside too!
Have a beautiful day everyone
