Its finally June and its so close to my birthday (yikes!) yet summer still hasn't arrived?! It's been grey, rainy, thunderstorms and all sorts. I really can't wait for the sun to shine and for the summer to really begin! Now on to the dress. It was still pretty cold when I shot these pictures, it may look warm but it really wasn't haha! But luckily the sun came out so it gives a summery feel to the photos. I suppose thats the hidden side of blogging, no matter what the weather if you've got to shoot an outfit, you've got to shoot an outfit - put on a brave face, smile and try your hardest not to look like a frozen popsicle.
I really enjoyed doing this outfit shoot however. I can't say I would have even thought about trying this dress on had it been in a shop but thats the fun thing about fashion, you can experiment with all kinds of styles and will always be surprised (whether good or bad). Wearing this dress made me feel like I was a member of the cast in Grease, and the colours of the dress really meshed well with colour of the beach, the ocean and the sky. I love the end result. Fingers crossed the weather will improve so I can actually wear this dress and enjoy being in it for real this time.
