Trip to Portugal

I'm not going to lie, I have been some what slacking in the blog department lately. I have so many photos to share from various trips, days out, as well as product reviews I'm wanting to write and I simply just haven't taken the time to sit down, relax and write but instead of stalling or thinking of the hundreds (and I do mean hundreds) of photos I'm wanting to put on my blog I'm just simply going to do it whether or not I have a lot of writing to go with them because after all they say a picture is worth a thousand words and I certainly have a lot of them 😜

A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Portugal with my family and boyfriend for my stepbrothers wedding where we stayed for just under a week. I had never been to Portugal before so I was excited to see what it was like, of course after getting there as I am not a good flyer therefore holidays are exceptionally stressful for me. Unfortunately however whilst driving to the airport there was a sudden panic as we could not find my passport and after searching all our luggage and the entire car  my parents decided to take the flight we had so as not to waste all of our tickets and my boyfriend and I returned home to find the missing passport. After very little sleep and literally turning the whole contents of our house upside down we eventually found it and booked out tickets out the following day.

We arrived in the evening and went straight out for a family meal. Everybody was there: my wonderful cousins, my step brother and his wife to be, friends of the bride and groom and their families. It was a large meal and everybody enjoyed themselves. After we went straight back to our apartment to unpack and get some much needed sleep.

We didn't get to explore as much as we normally would whilst on holiday, my family, boyfriend  and myself included do like to venture out and see the neighbouring towns and sites they have to offer but it was still a nice few days lounging in the sun.
We had a couple of days on the beach and then went up into the more mountainous region which was where the wedding was which was so beautiful, plus I did get a sneaky trip to the nearby Sephora just before.

There was lots of eating, drinking and dancing and dips in the hotels various pools and we also had a morning in the hotels very own spa the day before we left which was absolutely amazing - there were various saunas, a large mosaic tiled steam room and a large pool which was all mineral water, with a jacuzzi area at one end and large fountain like features at the other which you could use to massage you're back and best of all we had it almost all to ourselves.
