April Sun

After months of dark and freezing winter days, summer seemed like a distant memory and the summer to come seemed just as distant. I've never been the type that expects much from Spring - April showers is definitely a term I base my wardrobe around this time of the year but after days of seeing, what seemed like the rest of the world on Instagram embracing the April sunshine and the

hundreds of lavish holiday snaps, I couldn't help but long for sunshine even more and feel like I was majorly missing out on my dose of vitamin D! However I stayed positive and chose a couple of spring/summer items from Nasty Gal and to my surprise the days began to get hotter and hotter, hurray!

Im wearing the "I Lilac That Mini Dress" floral dress (*purchase here*), with my oversized denim jacket, basic white pumps and for accessories I've gone for some layered gold necklaces, "Gucci" belt and cat eye sunglasses.

I absolutely love this look and will definitely be wearing this throughout the summer! Its fun, casual and screams those summer vibes I've been wanting (but is still a safe option in this unpredictable weather). And I think that this look is very customisable accessory wise - I'm thinking the more the better! And swapping the pumps for heeled sandals would also work great too for a more dressed up, smart casual feel.

All in all, I'm loving the combination of colours as I think they really compliment one another and I particularly adore the contrast of the floral print and denim. This will definitely be one of my go to outfits. Would do you think?
